Business Transaction Intelligence

Business Transaction Intelligence (BTI) provides comprehensive visibility into supply chain transactions across the IBM Sterling Supply Chain Business Network. Rather than sifting through raw data, BTI simplifies the process by clearly showing what happened at every stage of an order, shipment, or invoice.

Supply chain workflows can be complex, involving hundreds of documents and multiple trading partners. BTI brings clarity by visually mapping transactions end-to-end, offering users immediate context around each order, shipment, or invoice. It highlights anomalies within order-to-cash and purchase-to-pay processes that may lead to potential disruptions.

Powered by IBM Watson’s natural language search capabilities, BTI enables users—regardless of technical expertise—to quickly find answers to questions such as “Where is this order in its lifecycle?” This eliminates the need for specialized Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) experts to manually analyze data. Instead, BTI automatically collects all relevant documents and presents them in an intuitive graphical flow, empowering users to connect the dots without manual reconciliation.

With proactive anomaly detection, BTI identifies trading partners associated with unusual events, facilitating root cause analysis and timely corrective actions before business impacts occur.

Ultimately, BTI delivers faster insights, clearer understanding, and increased confidence that the supply chain operates efficiently and without disruption.
